This policy explains what information ArticleWay (“we”) collects, why, and what you can do about it. ArticleWay is operated by Mass Density, Inc..
Information you give us
- Newsletter and template library: your email address, an optional first name, the form you used and the date. We use it to send the newsletter and give you access to templates.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, which are emailed to us so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Abuse protection: to limit spam and overuse, we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address for up to 24 hours. We do not store your IP address itself for this purpose.
- Cookies: after you sign up, we set a cookie (awt_unlock) for up to one year so the template library stays open for you. If you sign in, WordPress sets its standard login cookies.
- Server logs and analytics: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. If we use an analytics service, it is listed here.
Text you paste into the tools
The writing tools run in your browser. Text you paste into them is not sent to us or stored. The exception is the optional “with AI” buttons: when you use one, the text in that tool’s fields is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the result. We do not keep a copy.
Third parties
- Email service: if we use an email platform to send the newsletter, your email address is shared with it for that purpose only.
- Affiliate partners: when you click an affiliate link, the partner may set its own cookies to credit the referral.
We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
- Every newsletter includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, contact us.
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings.
Retention
We keep subscriber records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and contact messages for as long as needed to handle your request.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
